Measuring mobility before it is lost.

Born from three gaps in veterinary medicine

At 4Dvets, we believe in a future in which every dog can move freely, without pain or limitations. Our mission is to revolutionise mobility diagnostics for dogs by giving veterinarians and researchers the tools to detect movement disorders early and address them in a targeted way.

4Dvets was founded by Dr. med. vet. Patrick Blättler Monnier, a veterinarian and researcher specialising in functional orthopaedics and kinematics. In his work, he kept coming across the same three problems:

  • Many treatments relieve symptoms instead of addressing the cause of the movement disorder
  • Subtle gait abnormalities go unnoticed until they become chronic
  • Objective, data-based methods to detect and track changes early were missing

This led to LupoGait: a mobile measurement system that enables veterinarians and physiotherapists to identify movement problems before they lead to lasting limitations or pain.

What we stand for

High-precision
diagnostics

Assessing movement objectively and in detail, so that muscular and orthopaedic problems are noticed early.

Scientific
approach

Developed together with leading experts in orthopaedics and biomechanics, backed by publications.

Evidence-based
objectivity

Precise, reproducible data that do not depend on who is carrying out the examination.

One clear,
overarching goal

Our overarching goal: dogs should live longer, healthier and more active lives.
