Our locations

Research & scientific cooperation

Our test and research practice: orthoVET

orthoVET is not an ordinary veterinary practice for dogs: it is also the joint test and research practice of Dr. Patrick Blättler Monnier, a specialist in lameness and diagnostics. Here, LupoGait is tested, evaluated and specifically refined in everyday clinical practice, and the findings feed directly into future product versions. Unlike at our other locations, a standard purchase or regular appointment booking is not possible via orthoVET.

Research cooperation with the FHNW

4Dvets also works with the Institute for Medical Engineering and Medical Informatics (IM2) at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). A dedicated research group supports the technical development and the scientific validation of sensor-based gait analysis.

This cooperation ensures that LupoGait is developed further on a scientific basis as well as on practical experience. Within this cooperation, new measurement, analysis and evaluation methods for movement analysis in veterinary medicine are being created that are unique worldwide and also lead to scientific publications (peer-reviewed).

International cooperation: Japan

Work on the scientific development of LupoGait is also taking place internationally: at our location in Japan, further scientific studies based on kinematic data are currently under way in collaboration with independent scientists.
