4Dvets Test Dog Team

Whether large, small, or long, spiky hair, silky long hair, or dense undercoat: the 4Dvets waistcoat fits every dog.

Not only in terms of the diversity of their body dimensions and coat texture does every dog breed appear to be unique – the character of every dog is also of an individual, multifaceted nature.

However, significant differences can be found depending on the age and training condition of the dog, which are depending on the nature of the animal in its movement dynamics. To ensure that the measured values can still be considered reliable and reproducible and that the dog is not restricted in its natural movement, 4Dvets took all these factors into account when designing the 4Dvets measuring waistcoat.

The dogs presented below, all three of which possess very different characteristics, have been used by 4Dvets as models for the blueprints of the waistcoats for an extended period and will continue to be available for their further development.

At the same time, they help us to generate important values as test candidates in terms of wearing comfort, positioning of the sensors, handling during donning as well as insertion of the sensors and correct measurement running on the 20-metre course.
This test dog team will soon be supplemented by two more dogs. We will keep you informed!

Gracie mit Jacket

Gracie is a former street dog from Greece. She is very shy, sensitive to cold and touch and does not like to be touched by strangers.

The 4Dvets waistcoat has the calming effect of a thunder shirt on her: it hugs the dog’s body, providing an even, gentle pressure on the dog’s torso, which conveys security and safety.

If Gracie had the choice, she probably wouldn’t want to take the 4Dvets waistcoat off!

Pepper mit Jacket

Pepper is a highly dynamic, yet very disciplined Gordon Setter from a generation of working dogs. She is characterised by enormous agility and accessibility and has a great preference for working in the field, man trailing and long forays.

Her far reaching movements, high action and the typical pointing of the breed are not restricted by the 4Dvets waistcoat. The carefully placed zips prevent the long, silky, and wavy hang from being pinched.

Watson mit Jacket

Watson is an alert and extremely docile Tornjak who performs his role as a guard dog in a gentle but very determined manner. He is loyal to his handler and listens to her word but refuses to submit to strangers.

The topcoat of the twelve-year-old male is semi-long to long, combined with an enormously dense undercoat. Despite this coat quality, LupoGait® was able to deliver constant values when measured repeatedly – regardless of who was doing the measuring.
