The well-being and full mobility of the canine patient in every phase of life is the focus of our product design.
LupoGait® ensures comfort and safety during application and provides high-quality and reproducible measurements.
A vet check can often be very stressful for both dog and owner. That is why we have designed our products in such a way that the dog does not experience any restrictions to its freedom of movement due to the particularly cuddly jacket. In addition, the dog’s movements can be measured in a natural environment, for example on the pavement in front of the practice. The measuring process feels like a familiar basic obedience exercise for the dog and its handler, which contributes to a high sense of well-being and safety for both.
System components
The basic configuration of the measurement system consists of the following components:
- 1 x Microsoft Surface Go 3 Windows tablet with pre-installed LupoGait® application
- 1 x USB-dongle
- 1 x USB-adapter
- 6 x motion sensors
- 1 x external charger fpr the sensors
- 6 x USB cable
- 4 x LupoGait® Jacket
- 1 x LupoGait® Softshell bag
The Tablet
This starter kit component is a Microsoft Surface Go 3 with 10.50-inch display size, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD and Windows 11 operating system. The LupoGait® application is found pre-installed on it, so no configuration is required by the user.
The software
The LupoGait® system is constituted by three applications that work together to record the dog’s gait, analyse the data generated and process it immediately for subsequent downloading as a PDF.
1. LupoGait®-App
This application is a Windows software. Connected to 6 wireless motion sensors positioned in the dog’s jacket, it allows the recording of 21 measurement parameters while the dog is in motion. This part of the work does not require internet connectivity and can be done offline. A network connection is required to send the measurement data to the 4Dvets cloud database when needed.
2. LupoGait®-Manager
The LupoGait® Manager is used to manage veterinary, owner and dog information, which is stored in a cloud together with the data collected in the LupoGait® app. At the same time, this application allows access from any device equipped with a modern browser (for example Chrome, Edge, or Fire Fox). The dog’s measurements and the results of the analysis are displayed on these web pages.
3. LupoGait®-AlgoServer
The task of the third application is to analyse the measurement. This is also a cloud-based software that is responsible for receiving the values of the measurement from the LupoGait® Manager, calculating them and then sending the result back for display.
Current voltage
Electrical power is not standardised equally in all countries. Therefore, the tablet and the charging station are equipped with the feature of being able to handle voltages between 100 and 240 volts, which corresponds to most country standards and thus enables both devices to be used almost globally.
The tablet’s power supply unit has a 2-pole design and is available in 2 versions: on the one hand, the version that has a built-in power cable and, on the other hand, with a detachable power cable that allows replacement. Choose the version that suits you best when ordering!
USB dongle
The dongle is a USB-A stick that communicates wirelessly with the sensors and is supplied together with a USB adapter (USB-A to USB-C).Its communication range is up to 20 metres outdoors, while indoors it covers a radius of up to 10 metres.
Motion sensors
The sensors communicate wirelessly with the USB dongle, using the USB interface only for charging.

External charger for the sensors
A 6-port charger is provided to charge all sensors simultaneously.

USB cable
The delivery includes 6 USB charging cables (USB A connector of the charger to USB microB of the sensors).
LupoGait® Vests
The jacket has a zipper that runs the entire length of the back, while each jacket leg is also equipped with a zipper. In addition, there are 6 pockets sewn into it for the 6 sensors. The jacket is available in various sizes, with the Starter Kit containing 4 jackets in the size of your choice:

LupoGait® Softshell Bag
A softshell bag with numerous compartments is included in the delivery. Its suitable size allows an uncomplicated storage of all technical parts as well as 3-4 jackets.
